What We Do
Coaching is an incredibly rewarding profession. Coaches are able to invest in the daily lives of individuals as they learn how to be better athletes and people. The sports world is fluid and constantly changing. Coaches and staff can be let go for various reasons— including winning/losing records and head coach/staffing changes. The fluidity and sudden change can leave families in a crisis, not knowing how they will pay their bills or be able to support their families.
That’s where the Coaching Family Foundation comes in! We assist coaching and support staff families that are in a crisis by addressing the financial burdens and stressors associated with the unexpected realities of the coaching world. Families can apply for assistance through the foundation, to help alleviate at least one of the stressors associated with a job loss.
The Coaching Family Foundation provides a light at the end of the tunnel for coaching and support staff families during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. We are committed to supporting coaches pursuing their callings of developing and mentoring athletes, and assisting them and their families when life becomes disrupted by the unexpected.
Our Story
In 2021, Christine set out on a mission to assist coaching and support staff families in crisis by providing an avenue for financial support.
Through her husband’s years as a coach and her blog for coaches’ wives, David and Christine have met countless families who have been suddenly let go from their jobs and struggled with the uncertainties of how they would get by. Through partnership and support from coaching families across the nation, the Coaching Family Foundation was born.

About the Founder
Christine and her husband, David, have been involved in the coaching world since 2010 and have been married since 2014. In 2015, she began her blog for coaches’ wives, Coach Wife Life, and has had the pleasure of meeting many coaching families through that platform over the last several years.
Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Prevention Specialist, and has spent her career working with nonprofits to provide assistance to individuals and families in need. She enjoys walks with their rescue pup, playing golf and tennis with her husband, ringing the cowbell at her coach’s games, and relaxing with a good show or book.
